My story; it was the 6th June 1985, a fairly unremarkable day, I had been to work as usual. Returning home, my wife wanted me to go to the Good News Crusade meeting, I told her that I wanted nothing to do with church, or God, because God did not exist!! Nevertheless, I agreed to go merely to keep the peace. At the meeting I found myself in a side aisle of the church, hard up against a column. Above my head was an overhead projector screen with the words of the songs projected. The meeting started, I couldn't see the the stage, and there must have been a thousand Christians in that meeting, all with their voices raised in praise of their God. I would not sing, or pray, because in my mind there was no God. After a while the Christians began to sing a new chorus; "Rejoice, Rejoice, Christ is in You", totally bored by this time, wanting the meeting to end so that I could go home. I began to read the words of the chorus above my head, the singing continued, and I continued reading, "Rejoice, Rejoice, Christ is in You", I began to feel a strange heat on my head spreading down through my body, and at that moment I saw a vision of Jesus Christ, holding out a Bible, and saying to me "This is my Word, written for you", my knees were trembling, I was shaking all over, but I knew in my heart of hearts something that I had denied for so long, Christ is real, Jesus is ALIVE, and I had met with Him in a very exceptional way.
